The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act paves the way for the Federal Government to monitor financial transactions over the internet. If no sane voice will rise to block its implementation then in the future the federal government will be able to block more services from private citizens. It's only a matter of time before they start infringing on more of our constitutional rights!

Playing poker online is considered by many as a fun activity, even a sport which is broadcasted by many channels such as ESPN, Bravo, the Travel Channel, Fox Sports and so on. There are also many Poker shows on TV for example the World Series of Poker, Celebrity Poker, World Poker Tour, E! Hollywood Poker, Poker Royale and the like.

Poker is widely accepted by the public - but it may be entirely banned online. In fact, anything that in some way stands in the government's may be easily banned by similar legislation.

Many appendixes can be attached to the Safe Port Act (read about it at Wikipedia) easily. It's up to us to make sure that this law will not be implemented so that our freedom will be protected and watched over.
